Pocket Analysis is operated by Lukasz Makowski, trading as Pocket Analysis, 39 Glenloch Drive, Nottingham, NG11 9AH, United Kingdom. Email: hello@pocketanalysis.com. We are the data controller for personal data we collect and use.
A. Website visitors
When you visit pocketanalysis.com we may collect standard web analytics data (pages visited, browser type, rough location) via Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. We do not use this data to identify you personally. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (understanding website usage to improve the service).
B. Customers
When you purchase a report we collect your name, email address, business name and the brief information you provide in our intake form. We use this to generate and deliver your report and to follow up if something goes wrong. Lawful basis: performance of a contract. We retain this for up to 3 years for account and support purposes.
C. Business contacts researched for marketing purposes
We research UK businesses and their publicly listed contact information (business name, trading address, business phone number, business email address published on company websites, directories or Companies House) for the purpose of contacting them about Pocket Analysis services.
Sources: Company websites, Google Maps, Companies House, Yell.com, FreeIndex, LinkedIn company pages, and other publicly available business directories.
Categories of data: Business name, website, trading location, business contact email address, business phone number, industry sector, and publicly observable information about the business (e.g. services offered, competitor landscape).
Lawful basis: Legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have conducted a Legitimate Interests Assessment concluding that the interests of Pocket Analysis in marketing a relevant service to businesses likely to benefit are not overridden by the interests or rights of corporate subscribers, where the contact details are published business contact information and each message includes a clear opt-out. We do not target individual consumers or sole traders through this route.
What we send: One or two introductory emails about our market analysis reports. Every email includes a clear opt-out ("Reply 'no thanks' and I will stop"). We respect every opt-out request immediately and permanently.
Retention: Business contact records are retained for up to 12 months from first contact, or until you ask us to stop, whichever comes first. Suppression records (do-not-contact flags) are kept indefinitely so we can honour your preference.
If you request research updates, we collect your email address, your explicit consent wording and version, request time, and any recognised campaign/sector label. The form uses our existing Formspree enquiry service to deliver the request to our business mailbox. We confirm the request with you before adding you to an updates list; a form submission alone does not start a marketing sequence. You can withdraw at any time by replying or emailing hello@pocketanalysis.com. Suppression records are retained to respect your choice.
With your optional analytics permission, Google Analytics records aggregate campaign labels, visits, sample downloads and checkout clicks. These do not establish that a purchase occurred. We do not send email addresses, brief answers or order tokens in these events. Recognised aggregate source labels may travel in links between our pages and be included when you submit an enquiry or an update request.
We use the following service providers who may process data on our behalf:
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@pocketanalysis.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
If you receive a marketing email from us and do not wish to receive further contact, reply with "no thanks" or any clear opt-out. We will record this immediately and permanently, and will not contact you again for marketing purposes. This applies whether you are an existing customer or a business we have contacted for the first time.
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics”. You may browse, read the sample and buy without allowing it. Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. The preference is stored in your browser; analytics cookies already present can also be cleared in your browser settings. Marketing-update consent is a separate, optional choice.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Access to customer and prospect data is limited to the individuals working on Pocket Analysis. We do not store payment card details — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page will reflect when it was last revised. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
